# Discarding Food and Medicines

ಔಷಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ತ್ಯಾಜ ವಿಲೇವಾರಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ:

ಜಲಪ್ರವಾಹ ಇಂಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನೆಗೆ ವಾಪಸ್ಸಾದ ನಂತರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು:

೧. ಬಾಟಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟ ಡಬ್ಬಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಆಹಾರ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಶೋಧಿಸಿ ಸೋಂಕು ಇಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ಖಾತ್ರಿ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

೨. ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿದ ನೀರಿನ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಔಷಧಿಗಳು, ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವರ್ಧಕ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು (ಲಿಪ್ಸ್ ಸ್ಟಿಕ್, ಕುಂಕುಮದ ಸ್ಟಿಕ್, ಪೌಡರ್, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ) ಸೋಪು, ಹಲ್ಲು ಉಜ್ಜುವ ಬ್ರಷ್, ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಮರು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸದೇ, ತ್ಯಾಜ ವಸ್ತುವಿನಂತೆ ಎಸೆಯಬೇಕು.

೩. ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಯಾವುದೇ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು ಪ್ರವಾಹದ ನೀರಿನ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸದೇ ಎಸೆಯಬೇಕು:

\>> ಫ಼್ರಿಡ್ಜ್ ನ ಫ್ರೀಜ಼ರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಂಸ ಪದಾರ್ಥ, ಹಣ್ಣು, ತರಕಾರಿ, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಎಸೆಯಿರಿ

 \>> ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ಯಾಕೆಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥ - ಬ್ರೆಡ್, ಬಿಸ್ಕೇಟ್, ಕೇಕ್, ಚಾಕೋಲೇಟ್,ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸದೇ ಎಸೆಯಿರಿ

          \>> ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಟಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತಿನಿಸು ಪದಾರ್ಥ - ಜಾಮ್, ಉಪ್ಪಿನಕಾಯಿ, ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸದೇ ಎಸೆಯಿರಿ\
          \>> ಕ್ಯಾನ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸದೇ ಎಸೆಯಿರಿ

* All undamaged canned goods must be thoroughly washed and disinfected.
* Dispose of all medicines, cosmetics and other toiletries that have been **exposed to flood water**.
* Dispose of any of the following food items if they have been exposed to flood water:

  -Contents of freezer or refrigerator, including all meats and all fresh fruit and vegetables

  -All boxed foods ( biscuits, bread, cake mix, tea-time snacks etc)

  -All bottled drinks and products in jars, including home preserves (since the area under the seal of\
  jars and bottles cannot be properly disinfected)

  -Cans with large dents or that reveal seepage
